I dunno, some musicians travel the world yearly... Are you comfortable considering KISS as our academic representatives to the rest of the world?

To be fair I've heard this before, but I don't think it works that way unless you make an honest effort to learn about another country's customs and traditions. It may help you become more worldly, but you might also misunderstand why other cultures do what they do, and it can lead to even worse cultural misunderstandings. I had a lesson about that in one of my Japanese textbooks saying that broad observations lead to generalizations and stereotypes.

I also learned the word 蔑視する (to look down on) which I have yet to hear someone actually say, and I learned 思いきや (contrary to what I assumed) which I think I heard someone say in a Final Fantasy game once.

Bush and Trump have also traveled abroad. The WBC was going to too until England banned them.

Foreigners like to say only the smart, thin Americans travel abroad so they don't have to change their views on Americans being fat and dumb.
My best friend in France still insists that Americans are fat and dumb.
When I ask him which of the 5 he knows are either of those things, he says the exact same thing.

Once I tried asking him if that means, by the same logic, that all Algerians are mysogenistic terrorists and he said, "Eh, yeah, pretty much."
didn't work so well lol

It's true though, the people who qualify as "fat Americans" don't fit in plane seats.

Now THAT's a WOMAN. Gosh I love me something I can really grab on to...
And then use as a flotation device in case of emergency landing in water.

I logged into facebook and thought the first post in the list was one of my friends making fun of Dada.

I'm not happy. Now I concentlate for KOMACHI.
Why you only like VELVET EDEN?
It's over.

...except...it really was Dada. The EndORZ

I think you're being picky. Those XXL lolita dresses would make great XXMas gift cat igloos.
Or do you not know anyone who has a cat, huh mister?

Seriously though. Angelic Pretty and Baby could always fit plus sizes to an extent.
And there were plenty of foreign brands already making larger sizes.
And lolita's dying out.
It's not like Komachi was a novel idea for poccholi empowerment. But it IS kinda like it's 15 years too late.

Dada would approve.

And speaking of cats, I actually do know someone with cats~ About 3 weeks ago, my brother, sister-in-law, and I went to a cat shelter with the intention to get a cat. Maybe 2. 3 at the most. We adopted a brother/sister, who we named Leon and Helena. Then we were thinking about another, and we found an adorable cat who we named Chris. Chris had a sister, and we felt bad about splitting them up, and so we decided to adopt her too. Resident Evil fans rejoice!

Leon and Helena were found outside living near an airport, while Chris and Claire's parents were feral cats. We were told each cat would be a project, Chris had been adopted but was returned for being too antisocial, Claire might never trust humans or other cats, and Leon and Helena were dominant personalities who may never be domesticated.

Sound fun? It gets better!

The first night home, Chris (antisocial cat who was returned) was crawling all over us and playing with everybody and everything. Claire hid in her litterbox and wouldn't come out. They shared one bathroom in the basement. Leon and Helena shared the upstairs basement and alternated between playing together and hissing at everything that moved. This was 3 weeks ago. Now, they all share a room, are roaming the house freely, play together, have had all their shots, and are almost adjusted to the house. Claire is still afraid of everyone and trusts no one, but she plays with toys and is getting more social. All in all, everyone is pretty well adjusted.

But I bet Claire would love us to the moon and back if we bought her KOMACHI plus-sized igloos.

Aww you guys!! That's such a nice story <3
Claire sounds a little picky. It might have to be the right color Poccholi igloo.
She sounds purple.

It's weird how bad shelter people are at judging cats, considering it's their job.
I volunteered at a shelter for a while, but I couldn't deal with their way of managing the cats.
They never just sat with them or played with them, and a timid cat simply "didn't like people and wasn't adoptable."
They wouldn't believe me when I said some of the most timid cats were extremely social with me after a few weeks.
They also warned me that my Anyan wouldn't be good with another cat, but she LOVES other cats.
I guess some of the negativity might be to make sure the cats aren't returned but like....really people?

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! I arrived in Tokyo yesterday, in a horrible horrible flight! That extra legroom was too good to be true -- I was surrounded by a two year-old and a baby the entire time who wouldn't shut up (bahhh)

@faith and flowers: Unfortunately we have had to abandon any plans for Tokyo and Osaka bc we already paid for a hotel. I'm not mad tbh, that just means we have to go back there next time :) anyway we'll be having daytrips to Hakone etc. I'll try to see Kozi and his shitty band tonight lol

@MSilk: Thanks for that suggestion, will definitely check it out :)

Looking forward to a report! Be sure to make a note of his sobriety level ::meev::
After that I recommend looking up a random VK live here and going. This is a totally smart idea that you won't instantly regret :|

Enjoy the trip!

That is because he is from Melbourne. :P
LOL. I love finding out about these things! He messaged me saying he was glad they were finally gone XD Why don't they like each other?

There was talk of adding interest to the loans, or even privatising them, which terrifies me.

Currently they don't have interest, but each year the loan is indexed (or something similar), which of course causes it to jump up in price...

I just wish that the wage repayment threshold was a bit lower, so that the debt can be paid off, it has been absolutely ballooning over the last few years.
Yeah, he mentioned about the interest possibly being added. Good luck! o.o

When in reality it's just the opposite, the Americans who travel are the ones who haven't figured out that everything they need is right here inside the Temple of Freedom.
Finally, SOMEONE BACKS ME UP HERE!

(exception: China for me :B)

Speaking of the Temple of Freedom, someone I interned with years ago, Sarah, is moving to Cleveland, Ohio because her husband got this cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic (he's a doctor). Anyway, she was asking about what Cleveland was like. Someone posted, "Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Video: 2nd Attempt":

Omg, I died XDDD I sent it to Richard because his hometown is in Ohio, and it's kind of near Cleveland. It's a small, idyllic town with sparkling water and that sort of thing XD BUT he gets so excited if he meets someone from Ohio, especially from Cleveland. If I meet someone from Ohio or somewhere near Cleveland he'll ask me what school they went to, etc. It's like when two New Jerseyans meet for the first time and bond over where their towns are.
I don't know when he'll see it because he's still in Cuba and is on his way to Spain XD "YOU NEED TO SEE THIS, IT'S AN EMERGENCY!!!"
(Some commenters said the video is outdated, but I still love it.)

I've been listening to it all day... even when strolling around Yuyuan Gardens... XD

Before that I was watching a practice debate my Chinese friends, Reshab, and Saakshi were doing. They were debating over what liability the board of directors/company has when it comes to the suicides of factory workers. It was pretty interesting! Their tournament is next week and I might check it out! Saakshi said she hasn't debated in years and never thought she'd be doing it again in China.

I also had KFC for the first time here. Their options are really innovative and not at all like it is in the US. XD I didn't even know what to say so I chose the plain chicken sandwich and some mashed potatoes. But now I can say I've finally eaten at KFC XD

Cleeevelaaaaaaand~

What is that even?

Anyway, for posterity. Anyone remember that Celice guy? He was some minor vis kei loser.
It would seem he's a woman now and still making music under the name Suzuki Chitose.
Sadly, her voice is still hers though so she's not gonna get anywhere as a woman either. Oh well. Sucks to be her.

And BUSTEd.
