Been thinking about buying a piece from MmmM for a long time. Wondering if it is the time. ::shifty::

There's no time like next time. ::mana::

It is good to see the new management picking up the pace a bit and I'm much happier with this re-release than the previous ones, but I still feel like they aren't quite hitting the Moi-même-Moitié aesthetic with their marketing though, hopefully they can steer the ship on course.

I'm curious to see how the first wave of New Management clothes turns out. Looks like every single item on there besides the accessories is still in preorder.

So is anyone buying the Hatsune Miku dress? ::meev::

As far as I know they still haven't filled the designer job listing yet. :P

The new make-up/vanity bags are on sale now for (¥6,700 excl. tax).

I waddled over to KERA shop to check out the samples. They’re nice, the embroidery on the logo has no issues and the mirror is a nice inclusion (if a little small) and the zip pulls are more fitting to the brand (although they look like they’ve been nicked from Alchemy Gothic and I’m not sure about their durability).

It’s a shame they still aren’t using the Moi-même-Moitié lining on the bags.

I think the blue is the better choice, with the black, the structure of the bag is visible inside so it breaks up the lining a bit, whereas the blue version matches the lining.

This picture explains it better.

Also there are pockets, the shop staff was really enthusiastic about showing me them.

Drop ¥1,500 - ¥2,000 from the price and it would be more compelling for me (though I don’t have any use for it). Anyone planning on buying one?

You must be new to Moitié. They were 6500 yen back in 2003. Comparing the prices on the re-releases, they really aren't that much more than when they originally sold. Also zipper pulls look the same as back then.

Just thought I would mention that.

Good to know the embroidery is okay. That was the one thing I had concern with.

Did they make you put your hand in the pockets?

I'm glad a vanity bag left such an impression on you that after all this time you can recall the minutiae of details. :P

Hopefully they're more durable this time, the only relic from those musty eldritch days I'd seen no longer had the zippers.

It's a bag with Moi-même-Moitié embroidered on it, they'd be crazy to try and sell it more.

That was the one thing I had concern with.
Speaking of concerns, they have all the wallets/card cases on display now and the embossing is misaligned on the long black x black wallet... It extends up onto the fold and looks really strange compared to the blue/silver prints. I wonder if all the black x black are like that, or if it was just an error.

Not far from it! She ran over, said something of which I only caught the word POKETTO, then picked it up and flared one of the pockets and said something else regarding the POKETTO.

It was slightly surreal. I had something similar happen back in March when I looked at the wallets, she pointed at the lining and told me it's blue. While I'm standing there, with the wallet open, looking at it.

Now I think I'm looking forward to what her next feature highlight will be more than actually seeing the new goods next time. :P
I also realised the other day that my curtains bear an uncanny resemblance to those new dresses. ::mana::

It's right in the link :|

At any rate I would absolutely buy one of these if I had any earthly use for it. It would probably be great for taking a bunch of spice jars on the road, except I don't do that XD

You could use it to carry your wares and miracle elixirs to awe gullible and superstitious villagers in small hamlets across the countryside...

I hardly paint my face up these days, but they sure are pretty, and I'm sure would still be useful for my eclectic needs... like carrying my tarot/oracle cards (speaking of gullible and superstitious...) or crafting/sewing tools for those fashion emergencies.

Anyone have an idea how long the lace choker really is?
https://www.wunderwelt.jp/en/fleur/products/a-00123
It says 86cm but that's obviously including the ribbon. It seems like it would be a fun accessory.

From the Moi-même-Moitié website
Lace Portion ... 7.5 * 27.5 cm
Total Length ... 83.5 cm
Cross, 2.5 * 1.5 cm

I think the 7.5 is in reference to the width of the lace and the second number is the length of it. Interesting the total length is different. I'd go with the shorter number. Could always add ribbon to the ends if needed. I messaged Andrea to let her know there are differences on the two sites.

And swoosh like a speeding bullet, the Wunderwelt measurements have been updated. The Moitié ones were correct.

Now that's service ::cred::
I dunno though, it sounds tiny. Like it was made for giiiirrrrrlllllls or something ::foot:: Maybe I'll cut out something that size from, like, rags and see how it would fit if I put it around my neck.
34 inches of ribbon is plenty for anyone though
