Don't quote me on this because I'm getting this from Japanese twitter accounts.

March Two Day lives, a Dinner Show in June, and Deep Sanctuary September 8th. I remember Mana asked Yu~ki on Twitter to come down off his mountain in 2018 and he has already confirmed for the show.

DS VI confirmed and date posted by Kozi and Mana on twitter.

Those pre-application suck... I am also considering if I go or not as I am not in Japan when they will ask to pay T_T

The fixed seating is a bit of a pain too, it feels really weird to just stand there at your seat.

Last time I went I was front row, so there was a lot of room, but I don't think I will be as lucky next year so it might be quite cramped...

I think you get used to the weird feeling of standing at your seat after some gigs, so if that's your only worry I'd go :P (I've been in the backrows at NHK hall and Budokan seeing Buck-Tick a couple of years ago, that was a bit awkward, last years MdM was nothing compared to thatXD)

I'm also in the southern part of the country, which either means shelling out for the Shinkansen, or catching another night-bus, which isn't terrible, it just means I have a lot of travelling to do over the weekend.

Hello!
I used to follow Mana/mdm/MM, etc. ages ago and was always getting all my info from this great forums. Since it's been 8 years since I was last active I don't really have access to my old account anymore...
Fast forward to last week, when a photo of the Malice Mizer 25th anniversary event popped up on my facebook timeline. It sounds like a dream come true, and I would love to attend, but I am clueless as to how to get tickets for it... Any help would be much appreciated!

Wrong thread, but you'll need someone in Japan to get the tickets for you. They've been doing reunion shows for a few years now, they're a nice treat but they usually only do 2 - 3 songs and I've heard they're... so-so.

It depends on how much of a MM fan you are. MM is one of my top bands, and I love Közi, so seeing the reunion in 2014 was totally worth it for me!
But if someone just think they're good, being nostalgic, then yeah, might not be worth it.

Oops, true... I'm such a muppet that I posted on the wrong thread, sorry! Any info on when/how to get the tickets? And how likely is it that I could get a hold of one?

I was a massive fan back in the day (2005ish) and they've always been in my list of bands I would have liked to see live when they existed. I was planning on maybe going to Japan at some point next year anyway, so I thought this would be the perfect excuse to do it :P

I went to the last Deep Sanctuary. It was awesome. First time to see both ZIZ and Moi dix Mois. ZIZ had a lot of energy, really enjoyable. Moi dix Mois was great, amazing to see Mana play live. They looked a little stiff compared to the later performances that I've seen but I think it was in part to them not performing very often. It was five months after the birthday lives. As for Malice Mizer, that is who the crowd was there for. Yu~ki came out in a cape and hat and sang Transylvania, Mana, wearing an apron, wheeled out a birthday cake for him, Yu~ki and Kozi had humorous banter, and they played Beast of Blood and N.p.s.N.g.s. with Kozi singing. The show ended with a recorded instrumental long version of Au Revoir which everyone in the audience sang and the band heard it backstage. That was magical. So for a long time Malice Mizer fan who never saw them live, even though it was short, it was great.

This time they will have guest vocalists and drummer so it does appear they will be doing more Malice Mizer songs this time. Mana has also incorporated a Malice Mizer song into the last two MdM lives so there is a chance that will also be played with Seth singing.

As someone who wished they could have seen them play live, going was worth it to me. Even though there was a mistake getting my ticket and I ended up in the back. As for getting a ticket, if you know someone in Japan that you trust and understands how to get concert tickets, that would be one way to do it. Another is to find a reputable company that will purchase it for you. This does cost more and can be a bit frustrating because you don't have control over when they will get the ticket. And there is the people who sell their tickets online. I know there are people who go through this. I've not tried it and I understand one online site for this was just shut down due to legal issues. Since the venue holds about 3000 and it will be standing room only, good chance of getting a ticket if you can find a way for someone to put in for you when they go on sale. Which was in March last time.

I merged your old account into the new one and changed the name. Welcome back :D
Oh, great! Thanks for that, I didn't even know that was possible :)

I went to the last Deep Sanctuary (...)
That sounds absolutely amazing! I would love to be there, as I really like Kamijo as well. But it seems like an ordeal to get the tickets, I don't really know anyone in Japan. Thanks for letting me know that the tickets go on sale around March though.
I need to plan my Japan trip soon, and the friend I'm going with has no interest in MM whatsoever, so he's trying to make us go in Halloween instead. I guess I need to choose between Halloween and autumn leaves or the slight chance to see MM in September... :/

I don't know if the tickets for the 2018 Deep Sanctuary will go on sale in March. It may be later since there is a Moi dix Mois concert for June so most likely those will go on sale before the DS ones do. It is a bit of work to get the tickets but not impossible.

Why Halloween? Because people dress up there? I understand it's not that big of deal except for the crowded street parades in Osaka, Kawasaki and Shibuya. At least that is what I've read from people that live there. I've not experienced it. The Vamps concerts do look like fun if that is what your plan is. As for Autumn, the trees change color more towards the mid November to early Dec in Kanto. This I know because I have been there at that time.

Good evening. Oddly enough, the websites all show something like 10:00.

Also, how fast do the tickets sell out? All of the pages I'm looking at are showing them as sold out since around the first 10-15m.

They previously released tickets through a lottery back in December, so these may have been what didn't sell then. It's possible there weren't many available.
