Hello everyone... I am a bit lost

So, if we want to participate to the in store event, what should we do ? buy the cds only at Zealink ? (I never participate to this kind of events so...)

I thought to buy one cd for the in store event (and another one on the website to get the rudolf steiner bonus... but I move out on the date of release :'( and that makes the thing difficult to handle).

Hey! Yes, you should buy a CD at the Zeal Link store. Ideally, you should have reserved your CD, but now it's too late for that because it's less than 1 week until the 15th. But I don't think this will be a problem either, just go to the store as soon as the CDs are available, otherwise you might get a poor number for the event or miss the bonus postcard/photo.

Also, just to warn you - make sure they give you the ticket! They should ask you whether or not you want to participate in the in-store event but sometimes they don't - "sometimes" meaning in case you're a gaijin (this has happened lots of times to me). So if they don't ask you make sure to tell them you want the in-store ticket! You're planning to go to the Tokyo one?

New update for all you kanes and wahines:
https://ameblo.jp/hora23/entry-12325908928.html
There will be a "Schwarz Stein 15th Anniversary" pamphlet - 32 pages including photos and a long interview that supposedly covers topics they've never discussed before.
It'll be sold at the lives, no word on whether they'll have it for sale online as well.
I asked, and it will be added to the shop later!

Osaka live tomorrow night! I will let you know how it was (although my SS knowledge is fairly limited, so don't expect too much).

The live in Shibuya was great !! They did it well (even if Kaya missed several times some songs xD but he looked really tired). It will be good for sure !

What guitar did Mana use? Don't hold out on me man, I have a burning need to know!

I really like that little guitar solo played over the demo, something really melancholic about it. Plus the demo quality is cool, I would love to hear demo versions of older tracks.

Ferrum which was on stage since the beginning (so... we all knew he was comin'... well many of them knew before the live xD). And, it was really awesome ! Honestly, I keep dreamin' they will play again together !

But Mana was quite nervous xD

Yeah, I saw some other live report saying something like that too, that he was nervous. I guess he must be really used to doing the standard "Mana act" with his own band as assistants/interpreters/minions XD

Maybe it's because he's use to being in control where this was playing in a total unfamiliar environment/setting. It is different being the leader of a band with guys you played with for years versus stepping into a set duo who have been playing together for a long time. I hope he plays with other bands again. Glad it went well and people loved it.

Looking forward to it! I saw their photo, Kozi looked like he borrowed some of Mana's clothing, lol!

I loved Közi's outfit! All the times I've seen him as solo, he's worn the red shirt with black pants.

Also, has anyone who pre ordered the new albums from Hora received any confirmation of whatsoever about shipping them?

Live Report Osaka 11/17/17
With Special guest Közi

The live was fairly straightforward, there was a heavy curtain that was drawn and Hora walked on stage, followed shortly by Kaya. They launched into a song and played a few more with very little pause between, finally the lights dimmed and Kaya thanked everyone and went into an MC.

Hora kept making a lot of awkward eye-contact with me during the first part of the live too, which was amusing.

They played a few more songs punctuated by another MC and eventually Közi came on stage. He sang along to a song I didn't recognise along with some guitar work over the top, but I think he might have been having some sound issues, as his guitar was very hard to hear in the mix and he kept looking to the back of the club and slightly gesturing to turn it up. At one point his microphone stand became loose and flipped upside down, but he kept singing and walked off to the side, he played it off really well (and a stage-hand fixed the microphone shortly after)!

Anyway, there was another MC and then they played some more, again, I'm not sure what songs, but I do remember hearing Creeper. Actually, during the first 'Crave your Wings' part of Creeper, Közi sang the first line, but, the distortion effect hadn't been applied to the microphone yet, so that was a little amusing.

Speaking of Közi, the strange black-rose thing he was wearing over the shirt kept flopping over the neck of his guitar at first and muting the strings, he seemed to be wrestling with keeping it behind the guitar a little bit.

During one of the songs they came really close to the edge of the stage and everyone was able to touch them, I came so close to touching Közi's guitar but it slipped away. Hora came over, pointed directly at me and gave me a high five, I gave him a thumbs up after (I'm Australian, it is a reflex) and he looked very entertained. I also reached out and put my hand on Kaya's wrist, then Kaya moved his hand and grabbed mine, after a bit I felt like I should let go so someone else could hold it, but Kaya was holding on tight, hah.

After that Közi disappeared off stage and they played some more songs etc.

Finally they left the stage and everyone cheered for an encore, after some time they came back on and did another short MC and tried to get Közi back on stage, he walked on with a beer but quickly ducked off again (like someone who had walked into the wrong bathroom/classroom etc.), then he kind of peered out from behind the curtain for a bit and then finally came back on stage, said a few words and ran off with his beer.

They played a few more songs, then went off stage again.

Everyone cheered for an encore again, but the venue staff said it was all over.

I'm not sure of the setlist so I can't really comment on what songs were performed, but I am sure you can find it somewhere.

I spoke to another foreigner, who knew Japanese and she said that during the MC Kaya remarked that it has been a while since Hora has been in Osaka, who agreed and mentioned that when he stepped off the train he stood on the wrong side of the escalator and a lot of people were irate. Hora also teased Kaya saying that he gained weight to which Kaya responded that it is all muscle. At one point Hora said something so amusing to Kaya that he burst out laughing into the microphone (which he was standing close to, which sounded very sharp) and then ran a few steps back and curled into a ball for a bit while he calmed down.

Oh I think Kaya also mentioned something about going to DragCon soon.

Anyway, there you go, if you have any questions, let me know!

Hehe, Hora does that, to foreigners XD I think he gets excited that people come from abroad to see them XD

EDIT:

Dada Tweeted this:

Not sure I believe he just now, heard SS for the first time.... is he perhaps a bit bitter Hora's doing better than him XD?

Hora seems to have a talent for zinging Kaya like that
And I thought Kozi was cutting back on the beer and living clean XD I guess a zebra can't change his stripes.

That high five part is great too, Hora's totally Americanized XD

is he perhaps a bit bitter
More than "a bit" XD

Sanctum, thank you for the report! Mademoiselle Silk, when's yours? lol
Also what did they say during the MCs?

Kozi has his beer, Kaya has his marshmallows, and Hora has his kicks. Some things ain't never gonna change :)

...as for dada...I think the dude likes drama. I dunno if that was necessarily bitterness speaking.
Maybe he wanted some of the limelight?

I wish I was there.... ;_; but oh no, I was in a philosophy class about ethical research (against my will, I just have to take it as a masters student), as all the fun went on in Osaka. And today I was trying to write an essay on knowledge for the same class... while listening to SS.... ;_; so I was there in spirit.
